@stevenray I was agreeing. A generator is a relatively simple thing, and so is a bike. Combine the two by hooking them up and you get a new tool made of two things you can maintain and repair, or repair for a cheap price.
Use a "bike-generator-battery" and if something break you loose it and will be hard to repair.
I think what you refer to exists.
