Accelerating scientific development depends on substantially slowing the rate of research paper publication.

Can only be seen as specious if someone authors more papers than is humanely possible to read and write in a year.

An average of 3 papers as senior author per year is already a lot of work.

@jospueyo not only that. In order for the science we do to be usable by others, it requires careful, concurrent, and usable documentation of what we did to address our research question.

That takes time.

But that information is indispensable to advancing science.

It is obscene that our choices are 1. to advance our careers via copious publication or 2. To advance science.

Current progress has been despite the current system, and at the cost of extraordinary research waste.
