Listening to "These Walls" from Dua Lipa's new album leads to some deep cognitive dissonance as my brain wraps itself both around the lyrics and the upbeat chipper tempo of the melody. I strongly suspect that's the point; if so, it works quite well as a coda to New Rules.

There's something about the album being named "Radical Optimism" as well, next to a lot of lyrics that would otherwise read as bleak or yearning. Like yes, things can be that bad, and you can still set it to something more upbeat? It's really fascinating.

@fasterthanlime It's a bit of a head trip... kind of like an inverse of Kimbra's "Everybody Knows"?
