Is anyone else like super bad with colors? Like I genuinely have a bad time figuring out whats warm-toned or cool-toned unless someone points it out for me or it's a color palette explaining warm vs cool tones. Or when I'm watching makeup videos and then they're like "make sure you do this because this changes everything" I can barely follow or notice what changed because I don't get it
@ShaMyouiMo I guess it may be the way they explain the colors that make it so vague and confusing?? And even if I also try to explain those kinda stuff in my own words or like uhhh
Idk if this can help but...
sooo like you know that color between blue and violet (indigo?) For me that's a cooler shade of blue versus the warmer blue that is like the blue of the sky. So are blueberries... they're pretty cool too.
There are also some specific leaves that are a deeper shade... almost blue-green. Those are cool shades. Limes or green apples seem to be warmer shades.
@WandaLee58 yea I get cool vs warm shades but like when I need a certain product it's hard to tell if it's cool or warm, because I have a lot of brown/neutral products and I'm not sure if they're cool or warm because most neutrals are warm(I think?) idk
@WandaLee58 and since cool/warm neutrals arent very different it looks normal but then when I make the drawing/do my makeup it ends up looking crazy because it's a clash of both :angrycry:
For drawing... it is a huge help in using color filters to make the colors work well together more 💃💃💃 (I'm bad at picking colors too so I rely on them a lot)
When it comes to makeup... oh gosh. 😭💜 for real, can relate... I guess you'd have to try different color combinations first before using them for the final product 🥹 (but then again I dont even do that thing so yeah... when the color combo fails... good luck... 💀)
@ShaMyouiMo If this helps for you, I tend to have a selection of a couple of fave colors from my makeup and I'd tend to reuse them a lot together (it's good to know which colors work for you and which doesn't! It seems to be very different for each person, even if they'd have similar skin tones they'd still prefer different types and colors of makeup...)
