@lain why are skeptics so extremely not interested in this topic including ufo-debunkers that were furiously trying to debunk direct government correspondence about ufos
@sun@lain the news is just a form of entertainment now and drives clicks. The point is clicks, social media interaction, and then moving on to something else. It’s basically a form of alternate reality game using the news.
@sun@lain david grusch is pretty fishy, some parts of his career point towards this being a psyop https://archive.4plebs.org/x/thread/37830350/ this makes me interested in it quiet a bit, but even if the government is opening up on it : what now, so are they going to share more secret information? or is this really just a thing to get their pilots to start reporting the shit they see, and its more a bread circus for people.
@arcana@lain@sun i think if there are creatures or beings we interact with they come from inside the earth, what they are well, pick your theology and then determine if they are friends or not, but i am a schizocel
@ruin@lain ironically for the topic of UAPs there is no satisfactory conventional explanation for the government doing what it did except the entire federal government is horrifyingly easy to trick. let's apply occam's razor shall we
@sun@lain i mean, it was a public show and there are so many departments within departments whose job it is to fuck with and gaslight other departments and senators. it doesnt seem that far fetched, the public show they were given limited information by a few people.
@ruin@lain the way it was handled had to be planned so they made a conscious choice to ignore the readily available conventional explanations and go right to authorizing talking about "technology out of this world"
@ruin@lain I am just annoyed that nobody stepped up to say "hey either this is a disturbing domestic psyop or I'm developing a confidence crisis in this government, either choice is bad"
