What mental health resources exist in Europe for people in crisis? What does a person in Europe in crisis do?

sanderbol,

@sarah Can’t speak for all of Europe, but in NL your first point of contact is the family doctor/GP, ours can see us the same day for urgent issues like a crisis, and their assistant helps with calming the panic/agitation. Besides that, if you are in treatment, you can call the “crisis hotline”. Basically trained staff that can help you deal with the crisis. They collaborate with your mental care provider. Also 113 Suicide Prevention is an option, for such cases. Do you need help?

@sarah We (as in Germany) have a ton of telephone numbers: https://familienportal.de/familienportal/lebenslagen/krise-und-konflikt/krisetelefone-anlaufstellen# Unfortuantely not available in english it seems. Some of them offer chats. (But thanksfully I don't have much experience with them exception that I hear they do awesome work)
