Cloudflare VPN

I admit to be confused by this. I understand you can build a private network on cloudflare’s edge but I have not figured out how to do this yet. I know you create a tunnel and then an IP route but do you use the same IP scheme as the physical network that you want to reach from outside or do you use a different scheme altogether? If anybody can recommend a blog or good explanation of this, I’d appreciate it.
