@ColesStreetPothole There's a bunch of actors who make investments (Ashton Kutcher is one of them), but it's unusual to see them on the CEO side, unless it's a celebrity/fashion business.
I think the job of CEO, especially at start-ups with venture capital, is less about the actual product and increasingly just an outward-facing performance gig—are you smart enough to memorize the company script and respond to questions at investor calls, regulatory agency meetings, etc.; are you personable enough to speak to business press, future investors, etc.

The revolving door from government into the private sector seems to be spinning faster—she seems to have identified an area where a great deal of money can be made and went for it.
