fratermus,

wget

sexy_peach,

Depending on what kind of media and how many links you want to follow it's a weirdly hard problem. I think the last time I did this I used https://www.httrack.com? Not 100% this was the program.

SubArcticTundra,

I like to use https://conifer.rhizome.org . It creates a nice .warc file for you to download. It might work better with the old web version. Also you can click through to all linked images so that it saves them as well

cloudless,

Ooooh, nice one! Open source, and can do local saves! Gotta try it.

SubArcticTundra,

Yeah! I just wish there was a WARC viewer app that you could actually view the files with afterwards

archive.org, it was literally made for this. Doing it this way instead of saving locally also makes it available for all users. They have a "Wayback Machine" addon for Firefox and Chrome too, so it's just a couple of clicks to save a page. Once the page is archived, you could bookmark it for easier access.

cloudless,

I usually use Pocket. It can download the whole thread and preserve the formatting.

Tretiak,

I really wish I knew this years ago. :(.
