I would like to move to the new, non-Threads server. Do you have a way to this automatically?
Additionally, I would like you to share your plans: which events would trigger mastodon.green to block Threads? And: is Threads going to be treated differently, when it comes to failure to moderate; than any other Mastodon server? If so, what is this difference?
@JohanEmpa I read it and plan to reply. For now: I will certainly live in the Zuck-blocking part of the deal. My only decision is on how hard I want to push against any federation at all. I realise Mastodon is a big place and I have zero chance of influencing outcomes, it's more that I might have to leave myself if it gets colonized by influencers, advertisers, spin doctors etc. No way I am going to repeat the mistake made with Twitter. #Mastodon#Threads#LetMeBreathe
@JohanEmpa Myself I’m curious to at least see how federating #Threads turns out. In our favor works that only posts and comments that are deemed “worthy” by the community will show up. I doubt my home flow will suffer, and i don’t expect the local to either.
As users we can easily block Threads if it turns out we want to. But I have full respect for admins that don’t want to be overwhelmed by traffic and moderation. If that happens to #MastodonGreen I expect you to pull the emergency brake.
@denspier I'm thinking like you that it won't be any problem on our server. Overall it's interesting to see how it plays out in the fediverse, both technically and in other ways.
