@Terra lovely thougutful piece! Thanks for writing, honestly it strikes a few threads I've gone down in my mind recently.
I always tell people I am a non-binary woman, and that by this I mean "my woman not your (see mens) woman". Rejecting the male gaze and it's expectations means being able to exercise the autonomy to decide what we want, even if it sometimes seems like we are following men's expectations.
