can some #trans#transfem people help out, is my estrogen like crazy high or is the fact that they upped my dosage at the same time I got this blood test taken fine?
The results were 436 pg/ml. They did not give me any frame of reference for this number… #HRT#estrogen#diyhrt
@2d what kind of estradiol are you taking? For this level I’m guessing injected valerate? How many days after your shot was blood drawn? How frequently do you inject? These are all factors in the validity of that value
@twipped@JoscelynTransient interesting, I didn’t know any of that played into it besides the timing of the blood draw. You are correct, it’s valerate, once a week, tested three days after an injection
@twipped@JoscelynTransient is that when I should shoot for getting my injection? I looked it up before my appointment and most of the advice I could find said 3-4 days after.
@2d@JoscelynTransient I think the more important part is making sure your doctor knows when you had the draw.
Something else to keep in mind: if you have noticed yourself having a monthly period cycle, that can also have an impact on your draw levels. If I do a trough on day 20 I’ll get like around 450 pg/ml, but if I do it on day 1 of my period, it’ll be around 200 or even lower.
