I'm not crying. You're crying.
Miss you Carrie. Every damn day.
Miss you Carrie. Every damn day.
poszod, “I’m not crying. You’re crying.” 🤮
DocSportello, That’s cute, but you know that Carrie Fisher didn’t really like Star Wars, right?
thatsTheCatch, I’m sure she still would’ve appreciated the sweet gesture by a little girl who is a fan of a franchise that she was a big part of
DocSportello, Yes, that’s true.
k110111, I am impressed she was able to think all that at such a young age
downpunxx, I am impressed by the fact you a) think the kid came up with this on her own b) posted a comment saying as much, lol
tetris11, Or have the money to make that many laminated (plexiglass?) copies. But hey, maybe. Usually I look to pushy parents priming their kid in front of a camera as future influencer material… but I’m a horrible cynic
smeg, Why is everyone assuming that this is either a savant child or a cynical staged situation? Is it so hard to believe that a parent suggested a fun activity for a child that likes star wars?
Stamets, Kids are not remotely as stupid as people like to think. Everyone acts like they are but they’re not. Misguided? Sure. Lacking knowledge? Absolutely. Shit at making decisions? Positively. But talk to one like an adult sometime and you’d be surprised at the conversation you might get back.
To repurpose something from Picasso, I spent my entire childhood having to act like an adult. Now I’m spending most of my adulthood trying to go back.
cynar, I’ve a 4 year old, and the conversations we can have are amazing. Her ability to reason and think things through is comparable to a lot of adults, if not better. She just gets tripped up by missing entire fields of understanding, that adults just take for granted. She’s also still awed by the simple things, something I’m relearning myself.
agent_flounder, Yeah our kid has had some seriously insightful things to say ever since she was like 3. It is kind of freaky how their little brains put things together. Now she’s a teen and still amazes me regularly.
kSPvhmTOlwvMd7Y7E, Who is leia who is jyn who is carrie, why am i supposed to care
downpunxx, leia's yer mum, at least that's what we all called her
ScrambleVerdict, You cared enough to leave a comment
kSPvhmTOlwvMd7Y7E, That’s a pretty low bar for a «win»
Maalus, You still lost
kSPvhmTOlwvMd7Y7E, hmmkey
tetris11, If you take social media posts at face value, it’s a sweet little kid who seems to have - completely by herself and without any coercion - fixated on a minor character from the original trilogy (something typically frequently discussed by her parents generation and not so much young children who have other developing interests), and decided to act out the scene with cosplayers she saw. To gain further clout with the SW community (or out of genuine love for a dead actress she’s probably too young to really miss), she paid homage to the original actress. Someone happened to film every interaction, but that doesn’t mean it was her parents. Down votes in 3… 2… 1…
Remmock, Minor?
TSG_Asmodeus, I would love an explanation of how Leia is a minor character in star wars.
tetris11, Not Lea, the kids character
tkk13909, Do you know what movie Jyn is from?
tetris11, X-Men: Rogue’s revenge? Does Jyn actually meet Lea? Then surely this kid isn’t getting the info straight from the screen, but from some extremely keen parents
Stamets, Leia - A character from Star Wars
Jyn - A character from Star Wars
Carrie Fisher - An actress most prominently known for playing Leia in Star Wars
As for whether you care or not, that’s really not my concern. Contrary to what you might think, the world doesn’t revolve around you and all posts aren’t made for you. In fact, I didn’t know nor care you existed until this moment and after finishing this comment, I will go back to that blissful state.
fartsparkles, Nice crushing of that Rancor, Luke!
kSPvhmTOlwvMd7Y7E, Oh no, anyway
agent_flounder, Lol you’re killing me. 😆
