Started my first union job right before Thanksgiving and elections are this week. Results will be in this weekend since contract negotiations start on Tuesday. Everyone is gearing up for a big fight and i am nervous, but excited....

I tried contacting KITU, FITE and AIITEU, with the intention of understanding how unions work, the process of registering for one, how they help with collective bargaining, helping other members with finding jobs openings, and what where their previous cases of victories, from an Indian perspective....

I am unsure when or how a connection between the two formed but both anti-labor conservatives and tankies claim that unions are a stepping stone to communism. I don’t believe that unionization and communism are mutually inclusive.
