@breadsmasher@steinbring The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has attempted to eliminate stickers multiple times as they are unnecessary. All law enforcement agencies in the state have mobile data terminals and can look up vehicle registration while mobile. Unfortunately the police lobby objected as the absence of a sticker, or a sticker in the wrong place is a convenient pretext for a stop.
