@rm4 "magazine" is the kbin name for communities. I just prefer saying community because it's more descriptive than kbin's idiosyncrasies.

But what I mean is the site is a community, not that all its posts go to some predetermined community. Here a post cannot be off topic by definition.

If you still want to post it elsewhere, you can, but how is that more difficult than adding hashtags to categorize a masto post?

The point about mapping to a community/group rather than a user is interesting but I don’t think the WP ActivityPub plugin is posting specifically to Mastodon as such. I assume it would be possible in principle for it to work with both threadiverse and the wider fediverse.

I wonder if @pfefferle has any thoughts on this?

@73ms @pfefferle @rm4 blogs can have arbitrary authors right? How does that map right now? Is the blog the user or the author the user?

@rm4 @73ms @pfefferle that's great; you could then map a blog to a community without breaking anything, and also gain the ability to follow the whole blog / site in the process
