37 years ago today (April 19) in 1987, the first Simpsons short "Good Night" aired on The Tracey Ullman show. I wasn't watching (I was 7), but I was watching when the Simpsons aired as its own series a couple years later.
The A-Team from the 1980s is my favorite TV show, and they had these big hardcover 'Annual' books they'd put out for it. I just discovered the one from 1984 is at the Internet Archive, and if you log in, you can 'borrow' it for an hour (and every hour it resets) and flip through all the scanned pages. It's totally wild.
This week i was looking to complete one of the master system games in my games collection. while I couldn't find a copy of this game with just the cart and box, I found a partially intact sealed copy of Missle Defense 3-D
Normally I wouldn't go for anything like this since I already had a manual, but I couldn't resist when I saw all the Montgomery Wards pricing stickers on it!
With the first sticker date of (July 2?) 1988 and the last sticker date of September 1996, this unopened game likely sat on store shelves for around 9 years before it finally sold.
Now I just gotta get a case I can put this in to preserve it. I will not be having this graded because FUCK WATA
