“People who were infected with SARS-CoV-2 had a 25% higher risk of later being diagnosed with an autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic disease (AIRD) after infection than those who weren’t infected, according to a large cohort study that included more than 22 million participants in Japan and South Korea.
