24/09/1991, #ATribeCalledQuest sortait son deuxième album studio "The Low End Theory" avec les singles "Check the Rhime", "Jazz (We've Got)" et "Scenario".
Grosse journée pour les sortie
😁
On pourrait ajouter Prince avec 1999 (1982) , Sheryl Crow est son album éponyme (1996) ou Morcheeba avec "Who Can You Trust ?" ((1996) etc
#GreatAlbums1990s – TOP 20 - #ATribeCalledQuest – #TheLowEndTheory (1991). Classic jazz samples, minimalist production, and a thick bass groove (with jazz legend Ron Carter on one track) provide the backdrop for Q-Tip and Phife Dawg’s fluid rapping on this landmark of progressive hip hop. “Check the Rhime” and “Jazz (We’ve Got)” bristle with positive vibes, while “The Infamous Date Rape” and “What?” bring humor and empathy to serious subjects.

Heads up: I’m bringing a music listening project that I’ve been working on over to mastodon now. I’ve been calling it “Radio to the Death”.
Basically I wanted to listen to Rolling Stone’s top 500 albums of all time. But also, I’m me, so everything has to be a game of some kind. As such, I took all the albums and made a tournament bracket seeded by order in the original list. I listen to each pair of albums (in one sitting, ideally) and declare a winner. #RadioToTheDeath
