#KoolAndTheGang were one of my favorite bands in the 70s. I was *way into the funk in HS in Tinytown, North Carolina, and had all their 8-tracks.

In college, I spun records in the disco and "Celebration" (1980) was a top song-choice of couples who dressed-out to compete in our dance contests.
