The first step toward a livable future is 'reduce' and one of the most impactful things we can do in cities is to reduce our reliance on the private automobile.

Governments have to stop building more infrastructure for cars (they have way too much already) and instead invest in public transit, walking and cycling. Private cars are about the least efficient means of travel possible so their use must be reduced.
