Questions from a Linux-rookie.
I am experimenting with Linux.Mint on an older Windows-10 PC with AMD-processor. From USB-stick OR an old mechanical HDD that has it fully installed.
( I change that disk with the original every time)
Works well, understanding that AMD and apps like Dropbox don't work well. An Intel is needed.
Question is: Can I buy an older Chromebook with Intel Celeron, 32Gb , 4 GB RAM and use Linux with all apps on it ?
( Enough storage on other devices)
I wounder if we'll see something with #amd64-based #Atom / #Celeron / #COREi chips similar to the NUC Extreme Kits for #Linux#PC's once the mainstream goes #ARM64 or even #RiscV-128...
Is buying a computer with #Celeron N5105 a bad idea? Usually I frown upon Celeron (some spooky experiences in the past mostly with laptops...) but this NUC I found seems alright. Considering I'm gonna run Linux on it, so I wanna stay on the light side.
