It's not #KpopMonday in my time zone yet, but I have a few favs I want to share so I may as well space them out!
My first choice for the theme of #FlowerShower is this, by one of my first kpop loves, #NFlying! This song pleases my ears in such a good way in general, but also it showcases Hweseung's gorgeous, powerful vocals. I could listen to this chorus on repeat for days.
A song that holds a special place in the hearts of MooMoos. Wheein was going through a really rough patch with her mental health a few years back, and this song gave her peace and healing through those times.
More HyunA! There's a highly underrated song by HyunA called Morning Glory. The video is also adorable. I wish more people knew about this song. I can put it on and just vibe. It's so chill.
When I first heard this I was obsessed. It's so musically interesting and beautiful. And I love the story .. it's about a little dandelion seed flying thru the air on a journey to find new places to make flowers bloom. 🌼
"It’s a new flower where it is / Let’s go far away / Following the pins in the flowers / Let’s go far away when the wind stops"
Another #KPopMonday has come & this week's theme is #FlowerShower. I only have 2 selections this time. (I'm recovering from surgery and some things are going well while some things are not 🙈.)
"Hwaa" by (G)I-DLE, which was the title track off their album, I Burn. The word "hwaa" has a few meanings depending on how it's read (anger, flower, bloom, burn) & the song itself is about a woman moving on from the winter ruins of a relationship to blooming again in spring. I've always loved the instrumental arrangements in this song.
A b-side off I Burn, Minnie wrote & composed "Dahlia." She's been performing it as a solo stage during their current world tour. This vid is from the Seoul stop and taken by Kismet, a Minnie fansite: https://youtu.be/-S6VjB9zVzg?si=Dl0-N3KDYNvS-Lf_
