My first MF fountain pen arrived today just in time for MF week—the Sailor Pro Gear Christmas Spice Tea. This was one of 2022’s special editions that Endless Pens managed to get more stock of. Not only did they get more stock, during their 4th of July sale they had multiple discounts that stacked. How stacked, you ask? From an original £330 down to a mind-boggling £92.48!!
Inked with Diamine Orange Blaze, but I might switch to Pumpkin Shimmer to match the sparkles. #FountainPen#FountainPenPics
If you like flexible nibs but also appreciate a rigid nib, then this #FountainPen is for you. OMAS 361 with its two sided nib for both types of writing. The ink is Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue. #FountainPenPics
I love flex nibs, so I have a whole bunch of flex & flex-adjacent pens. They’ve been arranged top-to-bottom from my absolute favourite to my least favourite, with samples of each on TR 52gm².
I added a touch too much Railroad X into the Jinhao’s converter, which has caused it to bleed a bit. Blaze Orange is usually a similar colour to Róka Koma, but the more RR-X you add, the lighter it gets. It certainly flows much, much better now 🤣
This might be my most flexible nib. This Conklin Crescent 20 #FountainPen was bought by my grandfather in the early 1920s and he used it for all his life. #FountainPenPics
I will definitely be posting flexy pics this week, I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I think I know the inks and pens I’ll be using though. #FountainPen#FountainPenPics
My flex writing is more wobbly than sexy, but here's a sample using:
FPR Jaipur V2 Steel EF Ultra Flex
Wearingeul Yi Sang, A Taxidermied Genius.
Strathmore Parchment 200 Series 89 gsm (Ivory)

Ok you asked for pix of 'flex nibbing'... Here is my rough little example, from my new journal (and my new journey!). Using my FPR Triveni purple-white pen with the FPR UltraFlex nib, and FPR ink in Cosmic Pink.
My cursive is rather crude and personal, with some quirky traits I recognize from my grade school days over 50 years ago. I'm starting to think it might be nice to retain some of that familiar childish style that still persists in me today.

Couple days late, but here is where the #FountainPens I keep out on my desk live. The 4 metal Kaweco’s permanently live there, as does the Tigerfish Starry Sky that the astronaut is holding aloft. The ones in the crab, Lihit Labs stand, & the acrylic/wood block get rotated out now and then.

3 main storage areas. First, an old tea chest with all my Inkvent 12ml & Diamine 30ml bottles, with a shotgun shell case for sample vials. Then we have a block of the IKEA Kallax where I keep the majority of my big bottles that I regularly use in stacking fridge drawers as well as cartridges, cleaning stuff, & misc stationery tools (+meds), and then a plastic tub for overflow bottles that I don’t use as often.
The inks: this Toyo steel toolbox is beautiful but barely contains my ink collection, which heavily favors Diamine (including three inkvent calendars on the top shelf), Iroshizuku, a couple of J.Herbin’s, two FPR inks, one Noodler’s ink I’ve barely touched, Pelikan Smoky Quartz, LAMY Beryl, and KWZ Green Gold 2. Oh and good old Pilot Black. Plus 7 different colors of “table inks” made up of sample remnants.
