One of a kind!

This is a decoupage piece I made from an "extra" wood cutout from WoodpeckersCrafts.

Chuppah Dreams, features a bride with a stylized chuppah canopy over her head. The surrounding images are her dreams of life as a kallah.

Handmade

After four kids, not to mention my own childhood, when I see a castle I don't think of bats in the belfry. I think of happily ever after. So I started sorting through my calendars and stuff for pictures of what a Jewish princess might imagine, but of course the closest thing Judaism has to a disney princes...is a bride. This is the rough layout of the images I selected to be decoupaged onto the wood cutout.
Here is the end result, a piece I call Chuppah Dreams, featuring a bride with a stylized chuppah canopy over her head. The surrounding images are her dreams of a happy, beautiful life as a kallah. This is a one of a kind work, seeing as it's the only castle I have. Although I can't rule out a halloween themed castle at some point in the future. I just need to figure out how to make it a "Jewish mystical" haunted house, lol. Somehow I'm thinking images of Rabbi Akiva going up in flames isn't going to be popular. And I also learned that the cute "handmade with love" stamp for the back that I got comes with ink that smears when you brush glue over it. Live and learn.
