Rome has opened a new museum and archaeological park in one of the capital's famed seven hills - the Caelian - against the backdrop of the Colosseum.
The museum houses the remaining fragments of the Forma Urbis Romae, the giant marble map of ancient Rome engraved between 203 and 211 AD under Emperor Septimius Severus.

Clashes between SAF and RSF continue across Khartoum State; many communities remain besieged by RSF, suffering dire living conditions amidst severe lack of power, water, food and medicine, and a very unstable telecom network.

Renewed clashes between SAF and RSF reported today in Nyala, capital of South Darfur State, resulting in civilian deaths and injuries, though exact figures still unavailable.
While the "godfathers" of "AI" are talking our ears off about "saving humanity" while making sure to erase the works of Black women, this is the type of footage we're getting daily from our refugees in Sudan, many of the Eritreans who fled Eritrean repression, Tigrayans who fled genocide, other Ethiopians, and Syrians. I am yet to hear the "godfathers" so concerned about "saving humanity" talking about any of these people.
The only way I'm finding out about #KeepEyesOnSudan is Twitter. That's where refugees, Sudanese citizens & diaspora are calling out bodies like the UNHCR & western embassies etc. E.g. this letter from Ethiopian & Eritrean refugees.
Some journalists I got here have decided its not wroth it for them, while a few like @zekuzelalem are staying :)
