Just watched MOTD. As expected, all they talked about was the officiating. No coverage of the rest of the game, the goals (our goal even more superb on the rewatch; Diaz's disallowed was clinical brilliance), Allison's incredible stops. It's such a shame because there was some excellent play from both teams. We had some very good chances. Richarlison looked much more comfortable on the wing. Pretty happy, aside from the officiating dominating the story.
I agree, MOTD seem to have lost their way. In the past it was there to show a condensed version of the days action.
The current incumbents have tried to turn it into a laboratory. There's way too much focus on what Shearer, Murphy etc, want to get off their chests and not enough match action. Just show what happened and leave it to the viewer.
If anything Alan Shearer comes out of it poorly. That jolly goal-scorer is just a whinger.
