ceruleanarc, 10 months ago to ethelcain I went to Urgent Care today. Me: "This is what's wrong." #Doctor: "Well you're a #woman, so it's probably nothing." Me: "Do you want to look, or should I let the nurse know you were too lazy and #sexist to even check?" Doctor: sighs and checks "Yeah, OK, it's pretty bad. I'll get you a referral to a specialist who can help." Me: "Yeah, thanks." At least my #gender was affirmed via #sexism. #Transjoy? 🙃 #medicalSexism #trans
