The #PiVPN project has ended. For those who don't know, this project was a suite of scripts that make it easy to set up your own #VPN server.

The good news is that it's basically just a collection of scripts that draws from your system's package manager. If you're currently hosting a VPN that you used PiVPN to set up, I see no reason why you can't just keep using it like normal.

I've cloned the repo for potential future use.

Can I route my #pivpn traffic out to the internet via an online vpn provider. Say #protonvpn for example? Am I going to have to go deep into #iptables or would installing the protonvpn cli and enabling it be enough?

Been digesting the earlier meeting with Scottish Water on CSO activities and what the plan is going forward for the Water of Leith.

Before I write about that, I’m going to mention here that I had an ace evening reading about home networking, #pihole, and #pivpn.

My PiHole has been running super well filtering out good stuff. Just got a #Wireguard VPN setup through it too - and it worked on the first try.

Feeling rather accomplished today, it gonna lie.

Was just about to go setup a full #NAS on my #Pi when I remembered you can fileshare over #ssh. Found this https://github.com/winfsp/sshfs-win for my windows box whilst nemo does it for me on Linux Mint. Sooo sorted! I have a faux NAS accesible via my #PiVPN from anywhere. Its just for small files and an #Obsidian vault so not needing speed.💪
