Excited to report my talk "Reclaiming My Time with Quarto: A Journey from WordPress to Simplicity" has been accepted to #PositConf2024! I'll be talking about how I transformed my Wordpress site to Quarto (www.tylermw.com) using WP's XML export along with R to automate converting complex javascript and media-laden posts to Quarto, and the many improvements to my site (and personal time!) that resulted.
(Plus a short discussion of making 3D buildings in R!)
This time of the year 😎 ... heading to Chicago to the Posit conf ✈️. I look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new people. Ping me if you are there and want to meet.
Hi All. Excited to say I'm giving a talk at #PositConf this year about #DataScience Meetup Organizer Burnout and how to build a sustainable meetup.
This has been a really fun process for me, as I've interviewed a lot of Data Science Meetup Organizers and distilled our wisdom, success stories, and experience (with some organization behavior literature mixed in) to help you fight burnout at your own meetup.
Good news! I'll be attending Posit::conf(2023) in Chicago this year! And the best part is it's NOT as a speaker 😅 which means I can actually enjoy and experience the conference this year without the pressure of giving a talk constantly lingering in my mind.
I know I've said this before in various venues, but one thing I am so jealous of Python :python: developers for is that there is A LOT of cute snake-themed jewelry. 🐍
