Per the catalog: "Saskatraz breeder queens are selected for honey production, wintering ability, temperament, tracheal mite resistance, varroa tolerance, and resistance to brood diseases. The Saskatraz bees breeding program uses recurrent natural selection to select varroa tolerance in productive colonies with good economic traits."

We changed out the queen's deep super this afternoon, added a new deep super, & put all on a new base board. (Old base board was disgusting.) I think we need a new lid, too! 😅 Geeze... At least they were pretty tame. We were sweatin'. 🥵
