Well, here it is again, as unwanted as ever - Monday. It wasn't a bad weekend, even though it rained each day at least a little bit, making it 16 out of 20 weekends so far this year. I did manage to squeeze in a mowing of the lawn to at least show someone lives here. We played #Seafall on Sunday, getting in a whole "game", which was fun. It makes 8 games out of probably 20 for this campaign legacy game. #boardgames
Morning hockey has been going well. I have been playing well despite my recovering knee and have hardly noticed it. We've had good attendance in the new year, despite some skaters flying south for the winter. I'm jealous. Tuesday's hockey was a skate in the park for me, as the teams were not very well-balanced. I didn't face too many shots and only gave up 2 goals, one on a breakaway and the other on a nice tip in front of me. But I barely worked up a sweat.
I had a good day of gaming yesterday. On Tuesday, C and I started a new RPG, this one probably even longer than our recently finished 200+ hour Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Gloomhaven. There are 95+ dungeons and after 2 hours we didn't even get thru 1! So I played the tutorials. Then we got some time in on #Seafall. And then we finished a Serious Sam 4 chapter, although I had to increase our life count to 10 and we barely eked by then. Good times.
So 4 Guys Co-op took on Chapter 3 of Serious Sam 4 - The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse - and failed miserably. We played it twice in about 2.5 hours and while we got slightly further the 2nd time, it still ended ugly, with 100s of monsters roaming free. I may have to add a few more lives to our game. Right now, I'm giving us 5. But replaying long levels gets tiring! #ComputerGames#Videogames
We didn't play #Seafall unfortunately. @adrienne was too tired. She fought off a stomach bug over the weekend and is still recovering I think. So instead C, M, and I played our Ark Nova game on BGA. We've been enjoying it. Lots of things to think about. Probably too long a game in real life (like 4+ hours I've heard), but it plays well asynchronously online. Wish I could win one for a change though! #boardgames@boardgames
Unfortunately, @adrienne was too busy with her Rover work for us to get back to #Seafall. C, M, and I have been playing the always delightful Castles of Burgundy on BGA - it's easily the best online implementation. I've been getting my head handed to me, so I need to get better! We might try it again. I suggested they take a look at Clans of Caledonia, which I've played online but only solo. #boardgames@boardgames
No gaming last night, unfortunately. Both A and M were under the weather, so we didn't get #Seafall to the table. We were going to start Serious Sam 4, but M wasn't even feeling up for that. So instead it was going to be a 3-player Rainbow 6 Siege. But by the time 9 pm rolled around, I wasn't feeling it, so I just canceled the whole thing. Oh hum, just another beautiful day in paradise. We are supposed to get over 70F / 21C over the next couple of days. Perhaps one last gasp of nice weather, as it is supposed to get much cooler next week. It certainly has been good walking weather, so the doggos and I have been getting our exercise. I even took them for a walk after hockey, which I never do.
We are also playing Castles of Burgundy on BaJ, which is one of my favorites. I have the base game but I didn't spring for the giant 10th Anniversary version. I didn't know BGA had an implementation too. C didn't like Kanban at all, which is disappointing. M, @adrienne and I should get another session of #Seafall in tonight. #boardgames@boardgames
I'd like to get #Seafall back to the table this afternoon and maybe actually finish a game or two off. But @adrienne has what sounds like a busy schedule, so I'm not sure we can squeeze it in. We just started a game of Kanban on BaJ. I tried to get B into it but he had problems creating an account. I have Kanban EV (gorgeous game) so I hope they like the gameplay of the first edition to give the 3rd edition a try in person some day. I should schedule a #boardgames day soon. @boardgames
A busy morning already #today and it promises to get busier. Up early to get @adrienne her Starbucks (ew) and see her off to work. The electricians have promised to come and install my charger (again!). And I have a 9:21 tee time at the local 9 hole course. First time we've played in probably a month. Going to be ugly. I'm exhausted just thinking about it. #golf
We got to open a new box of goodies in our 3 player game of #Seafall last night. Reading the new rules on colonies and integrating everything took up time, so we only got a couple turns in. We'll need to dedicate a weekend afternoon and play 1 or 2 complete games. At a rate of 1 game every 2 months, we'll never finish! And then we had a pretty good session of Satellite Reign, although the slow process of traversing areas is annoying. #boardgames@boardgames#videogames@videogames
Damn it's hot! I know there are plenty out there who will laugh at us, but here in New England it isn't supposed to be a hot and humid 90s (33C) even early in September. Probably the hottest stretch of the summer almost! Haven't taken the doggos for a walk in a couple days. And no let up for a couple more. Where is my much beloved #autumn anyway?

M won this game, so I'm the only one who hasn't won yet, but I am actually in the lead by 1 point overall. A and M are tied right behind me. We have a new box of goodies to open up next week. Then we had a decent session of Satellite Reign. A weird escort mission (bring the guy in instead of out) was tough. #boardgaming#videogaming
