This song is for #ThrashMetalThursday,
and also for #TuneTuesday#SingItLikeYouMeanIt, because I had to deal with what to do, if a person who once was a friend posts more and more AFD, fake news and discriminating stuff. And nobody comments it. I wrote my statement and now I have -1 Facebook friend, and in real live too. I was so angry and sad. I don't want to keep my mouth shut and such people in my inner circle anymore.
Boom! It’s #TuneTuesday and a time to thank @Kitty for organising and to @Nicolaa for the idea of #SingItLikeYouMeanIt - a song that describes how you feel right now
We’ll, my feeling is quite honestly, relief. After a long anxious weekend my daughter finally got the email to say she got into fashion college, and is about to follow her dream.
So the song that instantly springs to mind is Mariah Carey and Butterfly. 🦋
I discovered this song a while back in high-school and it's one of those that's stuck with me since.
Kei' vocals and the way he wrote this song is absolutely beautiful and has been able to express a lot of what I feel. He was a fantastic writer and I sorely miss him. https://youtu.be/FTtZHLsSHfI?si=pKYcV8dnQSb2nNbf
This one is manic and paranoid and prone to outbursts and bizarrely joyous all while constantly threatening to collapse into a heap on the floor, something that describes me as I prepare for the beginning of a new semester more than I'd like.
One Eye Open, "Chess Becomes Chinese Checkers" (1995)
But I'm tired of living life on the run
Sangria sunrise, the midnight sun
I wrote some words on the back of a postcard
I'll see you later from Sayulita
I fell asleep in Sayulita, fell asleep in Sayulita
Adios, sleepy señorita
She was a sleepy señorita, was a sleepy señorita
Sayulita
Along the same lines as the first post, another #anxiety related song that does kind of line up with how I've been feeling is All Time Low's "Calm Down."
The theme for this week is a song that fits our current mood. I picked one that describes my whole year so far and feels more relevant the last couple of days, which isn't amazing.
On a day like any other day / You hear this song start to play / We’ll be there to sing it for you / Gotta keep going, what else can you do? / Fighting
It's another #TuneTuesday this time with the theme #SingItLikeYouMeanIt That's a hard one... So much choices, a good one already taken... How about "A Man without Love" by Engelbert Humperdinck, with thanks to #MoonKnight for making this song grow on me:
🎶 Let's leave no words unspoken
And save regrets for the broken
Will you even look back when you think of me?
All I want is a place to call my own
To mend the hearts of everyone who feels alone
You know
To keep your hopes up high and your head down low 🎶
Today I feel melancholic. I often do, for several reasons and I like that emotion. I don't find it uncomfortable. There is one song that describes melancholy very well, I think.
A line:
"Go ahead if you have to leave me, you ain't coming back this time.
I hope that's fine.
Got my sunshine, I'll get by..."
My choice is 'States of Mind' by Senser as it's been a mixed morning.
If you haven't heard the song before it has a long fairly calm intro, then kicks in. Here's a YouTube link: https://youtu.be/5mNVnr5BKsA?si=k2CxPwx0J4sx9KW7
