Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Make sure to reach out to friends and family, offer to be that ear that will listen to them or that anchor that will keep them grounded.

You’d be surprised how often the people that need that help the most are the ones that don’t look like it at all. Sometimes offering to be there, even something as simple as playing games together, will be all they need to come off that ledge.

I would know first-hand. There isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not thankful he was there, even if he didn't know at the time.

It's estimated that nearly 17 veterans die by suicide every day, twice the national average for non-veterans.

In 2020, over 6000 veterans died by suicide.
