Hurray, I succeeded in building my own version of #tootik with no rate-limiting and a 500-character limit for posts! I would like to be able to put those things into some kind of configuration post editable by the server admin and then push that to the main git repo, but for now this works for me.
By the way. You may have stumbled upon a few microblogging social networks in #geminispace, but did you know that one of them, #tootik, by @dimkr, is actually a gemini front end to a fedi server (that usesactivitypub) ?
