Two of the 4,001 turtles seized this month by anti-trafficking authorities at the Jorge Chávez international airport in Lima, Peru. They were taken from the Amazon region and were destined to be illegally exported to Indonesia. Officials took the tiny turtles to a refuge in Lima; so far, all have survived their ordeal.
