Just finished watching "Wonderland of Love" with Xu Kai and Jing Tian 🌸 The relationship of the main couple was well done with both humour + relationship issues. The second couple was super sweet, too. The plot was a little uneven but the ending was satisfying. The theme of acheiving happiness by giving up power is poignant in these times.
While I'm waiting for the last episodes of "Love You, Love My Voice", I have begun watching "Wonderland of Love" 🌸 It zips along nicely and the interactions between Xu Kai and Jing Tian are very heartwarming. I haven't made it to the romance yet, but they already have chemistry and they respect each other.
This drama was recommended to me and thank you for that. The drama hasn't had much publicity but it is good all the same.
Whether you will enjoy #WonderlandOfLove depends on how far you can ignore its flaws and go along with the story. It is also best for people who like the drama's tropes: brotherhood and star-crossed lovers. I'm really forgiving of shows that makes me feel good - I mean, that's what entertainment is for, in my opinion!
Finished it and this was sooooooo gooooood
I mean, ngl, this is no Ripe Town or even Dream of Splendor, but it is very entertaining, fluffy, feel good and romantic and yet has a surprising depth that took me by surprise
Of course it is not perfect. Pathetic villains, plot holes, convenient solutions. But it moved me so much. I laughed, teared up with this couple and it cheered me up immensely at a time when I needed it. 😍
I binged up to episode 19 in just three days. And I usually don't like binging, preferring to take things slow with a drama. That's a good sign that I really like #WonderlandOfLove.
In this episode, I talk about the #Cdramas I watched in Nov such as Only for Love, #StoryOfKunningPalace, #WonderlandOfLove, Rising with the Wind & more.
,/p>Also, some fun talk about Mandarin accents.
A fun historical romance that is overshadowed by the flashier #StoryofKunningPalace, I consider this show superior in many ways. #WonderlandOfLove is a tale of brotherhood, love and loyalty. And if you love adventure tales with a mature romance at its centre, this is for you.
This is a digital garden version, meaning I'll be updating this blog post as I watch the show.
I am at the stage where I am annoyed enough with #StoryOfKunningPalace to abandon ship. I can't stand palace intrigue, especially if catty women are involved in the power struggles. I am going to slow down my watch of Kunning Palace and switch gears to #WonderlandOfLove which is more my jam. Has a brotherhood, adventure theme.
Watching ep 1 & already liking the energy, the fun & the main leads. I didn't get that with Kunning Palace.
