@Kaetchi#cdrama approval and govt reviews is sooo opaque and quirky - I find it fascinating. But it must be so frustrating for the producers & creative teams. One day no time travel is allowed. The next, no hands holding peaches. BL is in. BL is out. Mythology good but superstition is bad. Verrry complicated!
Damn it, I can't move on from #TheLegendOfShenLi . The only drama that did that to me was Mysterious Lotus Casebook. Took me weeks to get over that one.
It's a little puzzling cos Shen Li had a lot of flaws that I disliked, but the positives overpowered it. I loved Lin Geng Xin's performance (oddly was warned that he's a bad actor) and loved his character's Xing Zhi's arc so, so much. I resonate with his struggle with loneliness and desire for a simple life with loved ones.
The blessings of being swept away by a drama after nearly quitting it, and now that you've finished it, realise that there isn't any other xianxia with such a mature main couple with a level-headed approach to love and heavenly responsibilities. Am looking at future xianxia dramas with much trepidation. I doubt they'd have a xianxia like this again for a long, long time.
I nearly dropped this drama, was told that it is really worth it sticking it out, and for the first time, I'm really glad I listened. It's one of the best xianxias I've watched in a long while.
Actor Xu Kai's promised he’d do a dance that his fans demanded if his latest #cdrama series ‘Best Choice Ever' reached 30k on the ‘Heat’ Index on Tencent : r/CDrama
Am watching "Blossoms in Adversity" 🌸 with Zhang Jingyi and Hu Yitian. It is such a gentle drama full of ordinary life in the midst of a palace drama. The relationships feel real which makes the stakes high. Didn't expect that it would be this good...
Am I a sucker for haughty, ever-perturbed-yet-amused Xu Kai? Yes. And he's some kind of uber-rich snooty heir who (probably) falls in love with a middle-class lady?

... also with Niu Jun Feng (and fancy black marble elevators?!) from #LoveO2O ?! I swear those elevators were in the office that the love rival from the video game worked at... 🧐
The #Netflix drama's depiction of China is, well, problematic. How did the people of China react to it? In this issue I highlight what Chinese viewers think about the 3 Body Problem.
Just finished Judge Dee’s Mystery. So uneven. Largely an episodic mystery-of-the week type thing. The story arc is somewhat undeveloped. It’s generally watchable, though. Visually lush. Somewhat romantic at times. Fight scenes are often cartoonish and unnecessary. #JudgeDee#CDrama
“我好生的苦.”* Some words just stick with you and this one did because the character was so heartbroken when he said it. So that's how you pick up vocabulary and sayings in Mandarin, when you see people suffering so much it sears into your brain. 😆
Episode 31 is the most heartbreaking yet the most impactful episode of Wonderland of Love.
Translation - "I am suffering greatly"
PS: Turns out the subtitles is 我好生难过 but the actor is saying something else! 😆
