#Eduhub days 2024 at #ZHAW and I cannot be there 😢 🩼
If you go, stop by at the marketplace—in the afternoon my colleague Maren Runte will show our work on creating a learning space for working with linguistic #corpora (to be released later this year)
Last summer, I agreed to write a paper for OBST (Osnabrücker Beiträge zur Sprachtheorie) for a special issue on "Inklusiver Schrift(sprach)erwerb," due January 1, 2023
Then came all-things-AI in November
Like colleagues, I had to figure out what chatGPT could mean for teaching and learning and everything beyond. I had to explain what #AI is and is not. There was a big opportunity to have a bigger audience than usual for #NLP for teaching and learning and writing in particular
I still had to write this paper. But also draft and re-draft proposals for small and mid-sized grants addressing #GenerativeAI, etc. I did various talks and presentations: I found myself invited as speaker to events I had asked to maybe be allowed to listen – the School of Life Sciences and Facility Management at #ZHAW had the very first fairly large event in early February (with more participants than for their HR info events, I was told later).
Podcast "IAM on ear" vom Institut für Angewandte Medienwissenschaft #IAM der #ZHAW. Pascal Nufer interviewt Daniel Jörg (Partner & Chief Innovation Officer Farner International A), Guido Keel (Institutsleiter des IAM) und mich (Professorin Digitale Linguistik und Schreibprozessforschung ZHAW).
"ChatGPT – Chancen und Risiken im Umgang mit Künstlicher Intelligenz" im Anschluss an IAM Live am 31. Mai
