"Postage will be $14.70. Would you like to pay that on card?"

"It's cool. I have stamps."

Someone actually stuck 81 15c stamps and 75 1c stamps to this letter. And yes, they are all individually attached. Madness.

Been compulsively checking package for days...found this morning that it was in Melbourne. Came home...autocomplete URL for the tracking page. Oh look! it's been delivered! Look outside...no package.

Went down to the post office. Then home and back again to get ID. They tell me it's been signed. Go home and ask around to see if this is true. Nope. Back to the post office... Then I realise that the autocompleted URL was for a previous package that arrived 11 days ago. Didn't tell the person at the desk...

So got to experience the new "we won't leave a card but will contact you electronically" missed delivery service today.

This consisted of an van pulling up on the other side of the street, and the driver getting the parcel out and walking across the road towards my front door with it.

I just happened to hear the van pull up and saw him so I started walking downstairs to meet him.

But by the time I opened the front door the driver had already walked back to his van with my parcel and was driving off!

He didn't knock & must have spent less than 0.5 seconds at my front door.

Sadly this sort of insanity is what I've come to expect from AusPost.

Oh and appear to have invented time travel too, as my package will be ready for pick at my local post office some 25 minutes before they attempted delivery!

What a scam ... Auspost

12 day to get from the UK to Sydney ... Very unlikely ... This is outrageous ... The reason they do this, is because they are a-holes ... Royal mail told me it flew out on the 12th Oct ... Auspost holds the parcels because they can

Hugz & xXx

dsfgs,

The use of the word "" is appropriate.

What if we told you the scam gets -level deep. As in, while you use your packets are decrypted by Amazo- (snip) we mean, .

We should also point out the was scam'azon, also. A point conveniently omitted from all coverage that happened to find us.

This screen of 's shipment tracking in is truly confusing af.

It says "It's coming today" but the package isn't actually arriving for another 2-4 days.

I have several emails from Australian companies telling me to "Spoil Mom!" or "Treat Mom!"

M U M.

Mum.

Not mom.

Quokka,

@frogglin AusPost were showing me an ad to treat mum from one of their bargains. Which was an electrical extension cord.
Second on their list was a Carwash Cannon.
Tell you what though, she won't be expecting those!

I'm cutting it fine this week - one of missus' birthday presents is only due to arrive Thursday. It's her birthday Friday. To be fair, I was mostly out of action with covid for a week and she didn't tell me what she wanted until after.
I am hoping the parcel doesn't go into the black hole that is the Welshpool sorting office.
