Not an affiliate link, just a good deal on solid software.
I’m historically more of a traditional workflow person so I use LUNA but I’m going to branch out with this and try some grid things, and the modulators in particular are nuts.
It is often the small things that matter the most (to me):
"Undo is a modern marvel, helping you audition changes to your audio and patches with equal ease. Plug-ins are covered as well in Bitwig Studio 5.2. So no matter what you change, Bitwig can always bring you that critical one step back." #bitwig 5.2 #update
And then this:
"We also rewrote our graphics engine to be more responsive and efficient. Painting our interface on your computer's GPU gives us native hardware acceleration, and more CPU is now available for your audio. Also, knobs pop more and scopes have a fresh look." #bitwig 5.2 #update
One of the #bitwig 5.2 #feature (s) I am looking forward too:
"Mouseless navigation is a breeze in Bitwig Studio 5.2. With Bitwig’s default key commands, your arrow keys can now send you between relevant points of interest in clips or on the Arranger Timeline, or even between different tracks in your project." #linuxaudio#update
Today, I'm making a track from scratch again. I'm building a small, dirty roller loop within an hour, all from the ground up without using any loops or final samples. As usual, you can find the project on my Patreon.
Apple’s failure to make a flagship iMac available to pro creatives pisses me off so much that I find myself considering buying a high end windows machine.
But then I think about what it’s like to work on Windows and I’m ashamed.
@dgar
I've been in #bitwig on #Linux for years and it has been delightful. Well, almost. The VST space in Linux is pretty terrible. There are "shims" that get it to work, but that part isn't fun.
I've done windows too, when there's that plugin that I've just got to use. It's not terrible, but it does always feel like a step back from Linux.
Not done much Mac, but every time I try it feels like their UI treats me like a child.
