For all y’all including into , I have seen an uptick in folks making goose jerky. Unless you’re cooking it, just don’t. Geese carry many pathogens, many of which are not killed by salt curing or drying. If you cook the meat during drying (for example, making jerky in an oven at 250F), it may be safe, but salt curing by home methods does not kill toxoplasmosis, and is unreliable for many other diseases.

Do I see a glimmer of hope in Chakotay’s eyes?

(watching VOY's "Hunters")

Between "Message in a Bottle" and this episode, Voyager's journey back to the Alpha Quadrant seemed shorter and they were no longer alone as communications with Starfleet picked up.

you think they'd have something more advanced than sticks to shove up and down to make their ship go in a certain direction...

Wow is this for real? Deer overpopulation is bad for trees and other small animals?

« Britain’s surging deer population is causing an ecological disaster. I have a solution: wolves »

kkarhan,

@990000 point is that will be pissed off either way: They don't want nor to regulate the population.

So... if women hunted, AND took care of child care, what did the men do?

Researchers found that women hunted in nearly 80% of surveyed forager societies.

Child care posed little problem: Mothers carried infants or left them at camp with other community members; older children often tagged along, hunting as well.
