Happy Birthday to 'Tales from Topographic Oceans', an album that's been much criticised over the years, not least upon it's release on 7th December, 1973. To celebrate it's 50th anniversary, the latest blog post offers some words of support in an attempt to redress the balance...
"I've Seen All Good People" is a song by the English #progressiveRock band #Yes, written by frontman #JonAnderson and bassist #ChrisSquire and recorded on their third studio album, The Yes Album (1971). The almost 7-minute song is in two parts; the first, titled "Your Move", was released as a single in 1971 which peaked at number 40 in the US, which helped the group build momentum. Goddamn it #Yes, once again in the post-#JonAnderson era you teased us with a fairly rocking lead-off song to a new record only to spoon out the easy-listening pablum next. The titles of the remaining unreleased tracks don’t sound like they offer much else.
