I had a wonderful thing happen at parkrun this morning. After I finished the course (I walked it with @supakaity and @internutter) someone came up to me and asked if I was Ada.
She is a closeted transgender woman who has seen my parkrun videos and followed my story for a few years now. She realised that I run at Kedron parkrun, so she waited to see if she could find me and introduce herself.
We all went off for breakfast and chatted over our coffees about transition, identity, parkrun, food and a bunch of other stuff. I gave her my phone number, and before we went our separate ways, she said that she's probably going to end up going home and having a cry (in a good way).
Moments like that are why visibility is SO important to me.
