CMY Tangled Squares, a work originally conceived April 2018 and been evolving and iterating ever since. The abstract works can be enjoyed far away as well as close up. Using only three primary ink colors, the movement and flows of the strokes endlessly flow across the page. Many see things is the swirls of line and color. What do you see?

This variation is called CMY Tangled Quads from Nov 2021. It adds variable sized squares as well as the inverted circle overlays.

Remember that sashiko stitching inspired design I did a few weeks ago? I finally tried plotting it. To me, it’s very reminiscent of chrysanthemum flowers. What do you see?

If the strokes of the circles aren’t perturbed, you get something like this, with very precise strokes. A rainbow of water drop patterns.
