I have no idea who would know more about this, but I've seen small log-style sheds/houses that are made with split wood, rather than whole logs and I'm wondering what this kind of construction is called? I want to build a tiny office with some felled cedar logs I have and I want to know more about how the wood should be split and prepared. Normal splitting technique, as you would for a rail fence?
Edit: Looks like dovetail log construction. Nowadays it seems to be done with milled wood, but I don't like doing things the easy way, so I still want to know if there's anything I need to know before I split my logs.
This old farm tractor was made in 1948. John Vantreight, Ian's Dad, bought it for $1250.
25 yrs ago, it took 6 months to restore the tractor. Restoration cost $26,000. It was done for their Dad before he passed away. A #pioneering#FarmFamily loving legacy.
Ian & his wife, Jodi, run a holiday rentals business now. They have several different properties in different beautiful locations. You can see them all at: https://tgevr.com/
