HEY Pay attention to that woman violinist 4th from the concertmaster, she'll be oogling the solo cellist tomorrow (our time!) #SymSat Well either that, or she likes to get her timing perfectly from the soloist. #SideEye
Academic researchers have teamed up to develop a technique called Side Eye that can extract audio from static photos and silent – or muted – videos. The technique targets the image stabilization technology that is now virtually standard across most modern smartphones. What Side Eye does is analyze how camera lenses adjust to movements caused by sound waves, and extract that information from the recorded photo or video to reproduce the original sound. This means that if someone is speaking in the room where a photo was taken or a video was recorded but muted, Side Eye can figure out who was speaking and even what words were spoken.
I'm not familiar with Standing Wave Ratio Big Band, but it's a cinch they have a conductor an inductor and a capacitor at the very least?! #SideEye#iLikeToWatch
This episode really strikes me. It has the most interesting plot so far, and crystallizes what I love about the show... as well as my hesitations.
One thing I really like is so small. I love the artistic decision to bend irises forward, when faces are in side profile. It's not at all how eyes look in real life. But it's genius. Eyes are gelatinous, and light bends things that are suspended in liquid. It makes sense in a weird way.
It's part of what makes animation great; the ability to accentuate the physical properties of something and exaggerate them until they feel hyper-real.
