Did the very entertaining Via Ferrata at Castala yesterday with Dexter and Felipe. Ladders, walkways, balance bar, Tyrolean traverses, wire bridges, pendulums. Also 2 abseils - 18m and 30m. Lots of fun in the afternoon shade near Berja. Well worth a visit!
Interesting day yesterday doing a via ferrata whilst being filmed by the BBC as part of an upcoming TV series. Not allowed to mention details but it was great to see how professional film crews set up to capture such things. One thing that struck me ... "Aren't all the film crew (4 cameramen, producer, sound man, director, fixer etc) so young? Or is it that I am just so old 😀 Anyway, a lot of fun!
Sampled the delights of the new Via Ferrata at Cadiar today. A grade K3 and a grade K4 available. Wire bridge, tyrolean, pendulum and some steep, airy ladders perched in space. All very entertaining.
#ViaFerrata in #Mürren ends with this awesome rope bridge that spans between two cliffs at the height of ~200m above the ground. Massive steel cables support the whole structure. Despite the steel plates to walk on it's always a weird feeling to step on it.
My friend is posing in the back. The scale of the drop is visible in the valley on the right.
4 years ago I hiked the Mittenwalder Höhenweg by fair means, still one of my all time favorite tours in the German Alps. The ferrata is relatively easy, but the steep path acceding underneath the cable car is quite an experience! #hiking#alps#viaferrata
Hopped on the first ski lift this morning up to Kanzelwand to climb the Erlebnis Klettersteig. It’s a relatively short but enjoyable grade B/C route with a wire bridge. The scenery was incredible! #algau#klettersteig#viaferrata
Matreisenkar ist probably one of the most underrated hikes in Germany.
It's so quiet compared to the famous Zugspitz route and it is a nice via ferrata, quite a lot of scrambling. And it's particularly pretty in autumn #hiking#viaferrata#alps#scrambling
