Das #Oculus ist mehr als nur die #PATH Station vom World Trade Center. Hier geht es auch direkt zu vielen Subway-Linien und natürlich Einkaufszentren. Laut Wikipedia waren die Amerikaner über die Baukostenüberschreitungen so erbost, dass Stararchitekt #Calatrava keine Aufträge mehr in den USA bekam.
Das architektonische Konzept zieht sich durch den gesamten Komplex. Der Zugangsbereich zum PATH ist sehr großzügig. So viel Weite wünscht man sich als Pendler. In der Subway gibt es dazu die perfekten Gegenbeispiele. #Oculus#WTC
Ich dachte erst, New York setzt neue Maßstäbe bei #ProtectedBikelane aber angesichts der Lage neben dem #WTC haben die Poller wohl doch einen anderen Grund.
