I love this #yoyo video by Fabian Adhi today and wanted to share it around. Rad tricks and nice editing. I can't wait to see more of Fabian's vids.

A video of a young man in a wheelchair, doing yo-yo tricks. The video is shot in a really nice looking indoor mall and the video cuts and changes the location frequently, but it does it in a way where the tricks all line up and make sense. Even though the location changes, the moves are consistent. The yo-yo tricks are intricate string tricks with slack elements.

Freegen: a mid-air regeneration with a counterweight 🪀.

Me playing with a yo-yo in my living room. I throw a breakaway throw and then let go of the end of the string. The yo-yo flies in the air and sucks the string and the counterweight back into its body, then kicks the counterweight and string back out again for me to catch.

I animated some #yoyo tricks.

Video of me playing with a yo-yo in my living room. I'm using a very responsive yo-yo with a counterweight on the end and doing original tricks. Throughout the video, glowing lines and drawings appear on the screen and audio effects are heavily used. The video starts off with some slow motion footage, during this slowed down section I do intricate tricks while the audio creates the effect of time slowing down and a "woosh" can be heard as the yo-yo moves. Then the video returns to normal speed with a record scratch sound effect, before going into cool jazz music. My glasses get filled in to look like shades. The jazz stops and an animated ufo appears on screen over my freehand as the yo-yo spins on it's side on the pointer finger of my other hand. A cow is animated over the spinning yo-yo, giving the look of a yo-yo floating over a cow. The string between the two hands looks like a tractor beam coming from the ufo and lifting the cow up. The ufo goes off screen and I finish my tricks with the sound of a crowd cheering in the background.

DNA Switch with a PLTPS #yoyo and counterweight.

Me in a bright orange shirt standing in my living room and doing yo-yo tricks. I hold the yo-yo horizontally between two of my fingers and pull the string like a ripcord. This makes the yo-yo string on it's side on the tip of my finger. I then toss the yo-yo in the air and catch it on the pointer finger of my opposite hand. I also let got of the counterweight on the end of the string and catch it with the opposite hand too. Basically this trick is doing a "DNA" trick on my right hand, then switching to a left-handed DNA.

Yoyofactory are doing their annual A-May-Zing sale all month. Each day are new deals. As far as unresponisve #yoyo suggestions, I like the Edgeless a lot. If you buy an unresponsive yo-yo, you'll need to know how to bind, which isn't difficult to learn. If you are looking for a classic responsive yo-yo, the Arrow might be a good fit.
